An Elegant Museum Wedding at Casa Feliz in Winter Park, Florida

Vanessa Mineo (27 and in marketing) says she has the sister of her husband, Chris Jones (32 and in sales), to thank for introducing them. Shortly after they met, Vanessa and Chris began dating and eventually became engaged. With the help of L.I.F.E. Events, the couple planned an elegant outdoor wedding filled with navy, gold, coral and white details. Vanessa says they chose their venue, Casa Feliz, for its history: “I always wanted to have a wedding in a historic venue. I love anything with history and a story behind it." The pair decorated the outdoor space with gold chiavari chairs and a green floral wreath designating the altar, where they exchanged vows in a ceremony presided over by Chris’s uncle. “He made sure to have everyone laughing,” says Vanessa. After the couple said “I do,” their guests moved into the clear tent for a fun reception and cocktail hour complete with a DJ and a four-tier white and gold wedding cake topped with pink peonies. Family-style tables were flanked by gold chiavari chairs, navy linens, white hydrangea centerpieces and gold chargers. For an added twist, Chris and his groomsmen followed their tradition of serenading the bride throughout the reception, including songs like "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" and "Rosanna" by Toto. For future couples, Vanessa shares: “Just remember to breathe and have fun. Take a minute after the ceremony to soak it in that you are now a married couple, because the rest of the night will go by quickly!”
