The ultra-modern aesthetic of Allison Davis (36 and a health-care information technology analyst and nurse) and Scott Foy’s (33 and a postdoctoral research fellow) architecturally iconic venue inspired their blue-hued, summer celebration.

The bride’s favorite color — cobalt blue — popped up on everything from bridesmaid dresses and bouquets to the couple’s menus and centerpieces. For a unique twist on a veiled updo, Emily wore a single, white gardenia bloom in her hair. “Now whenever I smell those flowers, I immediately think of our wedding day,” she says.

A custom letterpress invitation suite incorporated the couple’s bold color scheme and architectural details meant to reflect their contemporary venue. “My grandfather was a printer by trade during World War II, so it was important to me that we honor him through our stationery,” Allison says.
