An Elegant, Modern Wedding at Liberty House Restaurant in Jersey City, New Jersey
Emily Weiner (34 and an attorney) and Corey Kronengold (40 and in marketing) met online but soon realized that they had crossed paths multiple times in recent years and, after a year of dating, decided to move in together. Corey surprised Emily with a spa day after they finished moving. Once Emily had gotten her massage, Corey surprised her again by proposing with the cushion cut diamond engagement ring she always wanted. They chose to have their wedding at the Liberty House Restaurant in Jersey City, New Jersey. "We loved the venue, the food was amazing, the room was beautiful," Emily says, "but the spectacular view from every angle of the ballroom was what sealed the deal." The ceremony was elegant with pink rose petals and white drapery hung overhead and over the traditional chuppah. The reception was decorated with black tables with white rose centerpieces and pink rose petals along with a scenic view of the New York City skyline. They decided not to have a specific theme for their wedding but opted for a modern look with elegant flair. The color palette was classic black and white with pink accents that added a pop of color. They worked with a graphic designer to create a personalized logo combining their names that was displayed throughout the wedding decor. Emily and Corey had a traditional Jewish wedding in which they danced the entire night celebrating with guests.
