An Elegant, Modern Beach Wedding at Port Royal Club in Naples, Florida
“I was inspired by clean and classic Palm Beach and Naples elegance, and the iconic Martinique wall paper from the Beverly Hills Hotel,” Hannah Kelly (29 and works in digital marketing and customer experience) says of her wedding with Claudio Esposito (33 and works in digital product development) and the day’s color palette, which included green, gray, brown and a small dash of pink.
“Claudio proposed one year earlier on the beach, just steps away from where we ended up saying ‘I do,’” Hannah says of their venue. The floral lace pattern of Hannah’s dress made it ideal for a beach wedding. “I saw my gown and immediately fell in love,” she says.
“Take a moment when you’re at the altar to turn around and look at all the amazing guests in your company,” Hannah says. “The feeling is absolutely magical.”
Guests sipped negronis and aperol spritzes at cocktail hour to honor Claudio’s father’s Italian heritage. Runners with lemon leaves, white peonies and florals were interspersed with tall circular glass vases filled with giant, green elephant leaves to create a tropical vibe for the indoor reception.
Hannah’s custom bow “added a little drama and made for some of my favorite pictures,” she says.
Sweet elements of the day included the three-tier, buttercream-frosted vanilla cake, as well as the first dance. “Claudio chose ‘At Last’ by Etta James,” she says. “We fell in love and dated over the course of 11 years before we got married. It could not have been more perfect.”
The invitations showed off a flamingo motif and the iconic wallpaper banana leaves from the Beverly Hills Hotel.
