Camie Meyer (29 and an employee in human resources) and Eric Dahl (29 who works in marketing) met in the summer of 2008 on Match.com. They became official after a week and dated for the following four years before getting engaged. Eric proposed to Camie while vacationing in Ireland at the Giant's Causeway after (Plot twist!) he accidentally sent Camie a picture of the engagement ring a week before their trip! After the embarrassment subsided and the love ensued, the couple decided to exchange their vows at The Palace in Somerset, New Jersey. With the vision of getting married during the fall, The Palace's decadent food, elegant decor, fantastic service, and beautiful outdoor patios made their dream a reality. Camile chose a color scheme of purple, green, and white that was included in the bouquets, centerpieces, and decor of the venue. The reception had two signature cocktails fitting the fall theme beautifully: a pumpkin martini for the bride, and Shipyard Pumpkin Ale in a glass rimmed with cinnamon sugar for the groom. The menu included appetizers that ranged from sushi and assorted cheeses to sliced roast beef and penne vodka. The guests were able to enjoy a photo booth during the reception while dancing the night away. "After the wedding, we had an after party at a nearby hotel for those still standing!" says Camie.

"My dress had a sweetheart neckline, tight ruched bodice, with a full skirt. I found this dress on day 1 of shopping, but went to 13 other stores before I committed to it! For other brides-to-be out there, just go with your gut and get the dress you feel most beautiful in!" says Camie.
Wedding Rings with Purple Wedding Invitations
Being an artist, the bride created figurines to the likeness of her and the groom. They used the figurines to decorate the registration table.

"Eric and I both love the fall season due to its great weather and beautiful colors. Getting married on a second story patio surrounded by fall leaves was amazing!" says Camie.

Elegant Ballroom Reception Hall with Purple Lighting
"Eric's only request was no pink! That was easy to avoid because I love the combination of purple and green," says Camie.
The bride and groom share a first dance on the dance floor in the middle of the reception ballroom at The Palace.
"Make sure you take a few minutes at your reception to sit down and look around. Its important to take it all in because the day goes by so fast and these will be your lasting memories," says Camie.
