An Elegant Fall Wedding at the Piedmont Room in Atlanta, Georgia

Rashad Warren, 32, a banking fraud analyst, married Chevelle Brudey, 31, a physician, in an elegant fall wedding wedding. The couple first met on Match.com and had their first date at Highland Bakery in Atlanta. Rashad surprised Chevelle with a proposal at Acoustic Jazz Restaurant. "He played our song ('Always and Forever' by Heatwave) on his soprano saxophone onstage," says Chevelle. "He then came down from the stage and asked me to marry him in front of the entire restaurant." The couple chose the Piedmont Room overlooking Piedmont Park in midtown Atlanta as the location for their special day. "I loved the space because there was great light and we could look out on the park," says the bride. Because the wedding took place in October, attire and decor revolved around a color palette of orange and burgundy. Dried leaves that were purchased on Etsy were used as place cards and vibrant floral arrangements served as centerpieces. "I really love fall colors — they make me think of beauty, resilience and renewal," Chevelle says. Following the ceremony, guests attended a cocktail hour with mimosas, wine and beer along with various appetizers. A brunch buffet and wedding cake followed at the reception. "Honestly, planning a wedding takes some work, but it was a lot of fun," the bride says. "My only advice is to stay true to your wishes as a couple."
