An Elegant Fall Wedding at New Leaf Restaurant & Bar in New York, New York

Kali Day Jervis (28 and a fashion designer) and Brendan Hancock (29 and a business analyst) had the wedding ceremony of their dreams while overlooking the Hudson River on the Linden Terrace at Fort Tyron Park in New York, New York. "We went to the park early in our relationship," Kali says. "Once engaged, we knew it was the place to get married." Their wedding continued with a dance-filled reception at the nearby New Leaf Restaurant & Bar featuring burgundy accents and romantic string lighting. Kali and Brendan wanted to keep their theme elegant while following the fall season. "We didn't want an overt theme," Kali says. The couple's florists, The Flower Girls, created lavish arrangements of dark red roses, calla lilies and ranunculus with succulents. "We had flowers and candles on every table to set the mood," Kali says. Following the theme, Kali designed her own old-Hollywood style dress with lace cap sleeves and a sheath fit and had it custom made at Mika Inatome Custom Bridal. Her maid of honor wore a long, classic burgundy gown, while Brendan's best man donned a purple tuxedo. Cyrience Creative Studios captured Kali and Brendan's special day from the outdoor ceremony to the intimate reception. From personal vows and a Cherokee blessing at the ceremony to their New York City-themed gift bags and their sock-monkey cake topper, every detail of Kali and Brendan's wedding reflected them as a couple. "Our advice would be to make the day about the two of you," they say. "Others will have opinions, but at the end of the day it's your wedding, and it should feel like it."
