An Elegant, Country Club Wedding at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Texas

The Dallas, Texas-area country club was the setting for the summer wedding between Kara Kressin (26 and works in operations management) and David Venegoni (25 and a software engineer). The pair met while attending college in Illinois when persistent David won Kara over after asking her out many times. They dated for six years, and he proposed right before they moved to Texas. The special day featured blush and gold tones with neutral and natural touches as accents. To carry out the theme colors, the bridesmaids wore light gray Jenny Yoo dresses to bring out the soft pink of the flowers. Kara’s dress featured a timeless lace design dress with a cathedral-length veil made by her mother. The groomsmen wore Joseph Abboud tuxedos in classic black, as did David. Peonies featured heavily in the centerpieces and floral archway as well as on the wedding cake. The ceremony took place outside at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Texas, as Kara walked into an instrumental version of “A Thousand Years.” The reception moved indoors, where the space was decorated with centerpieces of varying heights, romantic candlelight and gold accents on the chairs and table settings. The dessert table featured their cake with a gold topper, macarons, mini cheesecakes and other small bites. Vintage keys served as place cards, and a family friend painted the signs on the sweetheart table’s chairs. Kara and David shared their first dance to James Morrison’s “You Make It Real.” At the end of the reception, they exited to a sparkler send-off before hopping in a golf cart decked out with a “Just Married” sign. —Caroline Eubanks
