An Elegant Country-Club Wedding at Oakhurst Golf

Despite the odds, Brittney Wright (24 and an elementary school teacher) and Dan Nadratowski (25 and a law student) managed to find each other among the 6,000 students at their high school. The pair began dating during their sophomore year and stayed together for the next seven years. Shortly after graduating from college, Dan proposed on a beach vacation using a scrapbook Brittney had given him on their five-year anniversary. When it came time to plan their wedding, the couple chose Oakhurst Golf & Country Club in Clarkston, Michigan, because of its intimate setting and the rustic, natural feel of the ballroom. A rustic-chic theme evolved from there, which Brittney and Dan brought to life with rich, organic shades of eggplant and moss green and touches of lace and burlap. The result was the perfect mix of rustic and elegance, best illustrated by Brittney's lace, A-line gown with an open back and a full tulle skirt, which she removed after the alfresco courtyard ceremony. —Meghan Overdeep
