An Elegant Coral Wedding at La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes, California

Brittney Rupert (27 and a science curriculum specialist) and Jeff Rupert (29 and a Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputy) met at a bar while they were living in Hermosa Beach, California. Jeff and Brittney were watching the NCAA March Madness game and rooting for opposite teams, so naturally there was heated discussion back and forth. However, there was no mistaking there was flirtatious chemistry, and so they exchanged numbers by the end of the night. The couple bonded over their love of sports, began to date and eventually moved into their first apartment together. During a visit to Jeff’s family at Easter, the couple was participating in an egg game that his nieces and nephews put together. Little did Brittney know that at the end of the game, Jeff would be down on one knee with an engagement ring! The couple had their wedding at La Venta Inn on the Palos Verdes peninsula in California, a restored Spanish villa that dates back to the 1920s. The rich history and ocean panoramic views were enough to win Brittney and Jeff over. The coral and gray color palette decorated many details for the elegant wedding day, from the stationary to the flower arrangements and even the roses that accented the wedding cake! “We ended our night by having our limo transport us and our bridal party to Hennessey's Tavern where we met,” says the couple. “As we walked down the Hermosa Beach pier, there was a lot of cheering, congratulating and pictures being taken. It was so special to end the night dancing away to the sounds of a live band at the very bar where our love story began.”
