An Elegant, Coastal Wedding at Jekyll Island Club Hotel in Jekyll Island, Georgia

Kerri McDaniel (28 and a medical business consultant) and Ardon Anderson’s (29 and works in medical device sales) wedding was all about coastal elegance and fun. The couple planned a weekend away at Crane Cottage, part of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel in Jekyll Island, GA, where they exchanged vows under majestic oak trees dripping in Spanish moss, only steps away from sparkling blue water. Playing up the coastal setting, stunning Italian Renaissance-inspired architecture of Crane Cottage and the lush gardens was a key factor in all the decor decisions. The couple chose a color palette of cheerful pastels like mint, peach, pink and neutrals and kept the decorations on the more minimal side. Romantic arrangements of hydrangeas, roses and orchids brought a fresh touch to the reception tables and were added to the ceremony garden and courtyard fountain to heighten the nature beauty of the outdoor space. The sophisticated, timeless vibe of the wedding’s theme didn't keep the couple and their guests from letting loose and having a good time. Kerri and Ardon had slo-mo video booth for guests to enjoy during the reception, where guests used fun props to create hilarious short videos all night long. “It was a fun spin on the typical photo booth, and was perfect for times when guests needed a break from dancing,” Kerri says. A tip for the taking from Kerri: “Don't forget your passports. My husband left his at an airport restaurant the day after our wedding, on our way to our honeymoon. We were really tired so it was an honest mistake, but we missed night one of our honeymoon and had to pay for new flights.”
