An Elegant, Classic Wedding at The Heart of St. Charles in St. Charles, Missouri

Elizabeth, 24, a surgical technologist, and Rob, 29, a graphic designer, met at the St. Louis Christmas production of Drummer Boy. After dating for four years, Elizabeth and Rob went to Epcot for vacation. They were having dinner when Rob walked away for a minute to gather their friends who were also at the park. “I was waiting outside the restaurant and our friend wanted to take pictures by the country Italy,” Elizabeth says. “As we were taking pictures random people came up to me and gave me one rose. On each rose was a card and the card had one reason why Rob loves me. At that moment I was like, ‘Why are these people coming up to me and giving me these roses?’ I was a little confused and in the back of my mind I was like, ‘No, this can't be happening, Rob told me he wasn't going to do it at Disney. He was going to wait until we got home.’ Then another rose and another card. On the twelfth rose it was Rob walking to me. He read the last card before he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes!” The couple exchanged vows at their home church, South County Bible Chapel, followed by an elegant reception at The Heart of St. Charles Ballroom. They chose dark purple for their main color and accented it with shades of gray and white. Complete with DIY details with everything from the stationery to the centerpieces, the couple had a classic wedding.
