An Elegant, Classic Wedding at Quail Hollow Country Club in Cleveland, Ohio
Lauren Zahn (24, a financial analyst) and Ryan Martz (24, an engineer) met when they were teenagers at Camp Peniel near Columbus, Ohio. After the summer ended, Lauren and Ryan stayed in touch over the course of the next four years. They went away to separate colleges, but during summer break one year, reconnected and began to officially date a few months later. One summer day, the couple went horseback riding at Hocking Hills, Ohio. When they reached the halfway point of the trail, Ryan got down on one knee and proposed to Lauren with a custom-made engagement ring. The couple had their wedding ceremony and reception at Quail Hollow Country Club in Cleveland, Ohio. Lauren and Ryan wanted to have a classic yet elegant wedding, so they used a neutral color palette for the flowers and decor. The only additional color they decided to add was a soft pink, which was the color of the bridesmaids dresses. The ceremony took place on the golf course of the venue, where programs displayed as silhouettes with pink flowers were handed out to guests. The reception was held inside the clubhouse, where place cards with cake pops were arranged for guests to find their assigned seats. Dancing took place outside underneath the veranda, decorated with strings of light that made the dance floor feel magical.
