An Elegant, Charming Wedding at Gadino Cellars in Washington, Virginia

Travis Geddings (34, business development) proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Angela Gadino (27, media director) at a heavenly champagne and lobster dinner overlooking the ocean. They had traveled to Roatan, a small island off the coast of Honduras, to escape the cold New York City winter. Travis booked a private palapa by the sea for an intimate proposal. "It was the perfect proposal," says Angela. Although Travis and Angela both live in New York, they wanted to pick a wedding venue that was convenient for both their families. They chose Gadino Cellars, Angela's family vineyard, which just happened to be located in Washington, Virginia, equidistant between Angela's family in South Carolina and Travis' family in New Jersey. The couple wanted the natural beauty of the vineyard and Shenandoah Valley to speak for itself, so they kept their colors easy on the eyes with pale, butter yellow and natural greens. Although it rained on their wedding day, the tented reception still looked warm and inviting with flower arrangements of chrysanthemums, roses, delphiniums and dusty miller. The wooden dining tables were set with lace table runners, and dinner was served family style to make the gathering more intimate. Adorable jars of blackberry jam from Travis' mother, delicious biscotti from Angela's mother and bags of local coffee beans were given to guests as "breakfast favors." Angela and Travis' vineyard wedding exuded muted elegance with warm, Southern hospitality.
