An Elegant, Champagne-Inspired Wedding at Tamarack Resort in Tamarack, Idaho
Amanda Richey (27 and an attorney) and Justin Brown (26 and an attorney) (lovingly nicknamed JBAR—Justin Brown Amanda Rickey) met during their first year at Santa Clara Law School. Justin proposed to Amanda on the beach in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, complete with a fire, rose petals, champagne and s’mores. When it came to their wedding, Amanda and Justin didn’t want to just have a one-day celebration with their guests, but they wanted the party to last all weekend. They chose Tamarack Resort in Tamarack, Idaho, because of its fun amenities such as boating, jet skiing and golfing, which started on Thursday night. Amanda and Justin exchanged vows in front of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the forest in a little white chapel that was on site before heading to the ballroom for their reception. Inspired by popping champagne for celebrations, they used shades pink, white and gold for their color palette and used champagne bubbles on the stationery, gold spray-painted champagne bottles for the table numbers and even sent guests home with JBAR personalized champagne glasses and mini bottles of Chandon. “We wanted to focus on the aspects of our wedding that would really pop,” Amanda says. “So special time, attention and budget was dedicated toward making our wedding memorable with great champagne, food and fun over decor and expensive flower arrangements.”
