An Elegant, Bohemian Farm-to-Table Wedding at the Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, Virginia

Rebecca Miller (26 and a health-care consultant and health coach) and Andrew Thal (27 and a software engineer) focused on their love for farm-to-table

Rebecca Miller (26 and a health-care consultant and health coach) and Andrew Thal (27 and a software engineer) focused on their love for farm-to-table cuisine, from the welcome gifts to the dinner menu. Rich shades of blue and purple, plus saturated florals, accentuated the natural space and late summer weather.

Rebecca and Andrew married beneath a rustic wood chuppah on the venue’s lawn. Guests sat surrounding the couple in a circle, a setup that gave an inclusive and family-centric atmosphere to the ceremony.

Rebecca and Andrew embraced their locavore love with a custom seating chart installation made from cutting boards. “It was such a fun way to let guests know where to sit,” Rebecca says of the culinary nod. The cake featured fresh lavender picked from the venue, and cocktail hour included a tasting of local wine.

Reception tables were topped with wood compote bowls and woven baskets filled with loose, asymmetrical arrangements of local dahlias, garden roses, ranunculus and greenery. Navy and purple tie-dyed menus added a whimsical touch to the rustic, nature-inspired table settings.
