An Elegant Waterfront Wedding at a Private Estate in Easton, Maryland

rn An array of blues and whites created a soft, elegant look for this waterfront wedding in Easton, Maryland. "One of my favorite activities as a little girl was collecting pieces of blue and white chinoiserie china that often washed up with sea glass on the beach," Lilse Rodgers (26 and an interior designer) says of her marriage to Conor McKenna (26 and an investment banker). "My collection of china inspired the palette and decor for our wedding." The lawn ceremony had tall blue and white chinoiserie vases framing the entrance of the aisle, leading up to the white hydrangea- and garland-covered arch where Lilse and Conor got married. Guests picked navy blue and white sunglasses to watch the sunset that served as a ceremonial backdrop, then walked over to the white tent for the cocktail hour and reception that followed. Dining tables set with white linens, navy blue napkins and gold plates had more flower-filled chinoiserie vases decorating the middle. Of all the details that followed the sentimental hues, our favorite had to be Lilse's elegant choice of white dress—an A-line strapless gown designed by Anna Maier Ulla-Maija with satin criss-crossing at the bodice—captured on camera by Kate Headley.
