An Elegant and Traditional Wedding at the Bella Collina in Montverde, Florida

Holly Steinebronn ( 29 and an event designer) and Michael Loulan (29 and works with Corporate Partnerships for The Orlando Magic) had known each other

Holly Steinebronn ( 29 and an event designer) and Michael Loulan (29 and works with Corporate Partnerships for The Orlando Magic) had known each other since fourth grade but did not keep in touch after high school. The pair reunited in an elevator in 2009 and decided to become roommates. “This took a lot of prayer and planning after we both told our parents ‘Don't worry, nothing will ever happen.' And we meant it!” says Holly. While living together, they fell in love. “During Lent in 2011, I decided to give up dating,” says Holly. “During this time I was home a lot and Michael and I grew close. He told me later that he fell in love with me during Lent.” For Holly, falling in love took a little more time. That summer, Holly broke her ankle and heel bone. Unable to drive or walk for three months, Michael stayed by her side and took care of her. “I began to realize how wonderful, thoughtful, and caring he truly is,” she says. Michael proposed to Holly while the two were walking through a rose garden. With the help of his friend, Michael had an iPad sitting on a bench in the garden with a video slideshow of their relationship playing to "In My Life" by The Beatles. He proposed when the video finished. “I told her the incredible impact she has had on my life, how she has made me a better person and continues to make me want to be a better person for her,” says Michael. “I told her how I couldn't believe how God had blessed me with her. I told her that she is the love of my life and asked her if she would spend the rest of her life with me and allow me to call her my wife,” says Michael. She said yes. The couple had a romantic wedding with custom accents at the Bella Collina in Montverde, Florida.

The couple used the venue’s lawn as both their ceremony and reception space. To give the ceremony the feel of a church, the couple used ceremony pews, a cross made by Holly’s brother (which stood at the end of the aisle) and a unity cross. “The most special part of our ceremony was the music, sung live by the bride's cousin,” says Holly.

Holly chose a white mermaid wedding dress by Alvina Valenta. It was accented with a sweetheart neckline, fitted silk organza and organic tulle skirt as well as a horsehair trim. She paired it with a custom belt by Sara Gabriel.
After searching through several department stores, Holly and her bridesmaids chose champagne Adrianna Papell dresses in three different styles. “I wanted every person to be dressed in something that made them feel like the most fabulous and beautiful version of themselves,” says Holly.
The groomsmen were dressed in classic black tuxedos, suspenders and bow ties. The bow ties were “real ties” as the the groom would not the groomsmen wear pre-tied accents, says Holly.

During the cocktail hour, a sketch artist crafted custom fashion illustrations of the guests in their outfits. It also served as a wedding favor.

The couple decorated their reception in shades of champagne, silver, gold, purple and ivory. A custom dance floor was surrounded by family style tables. Each was decorated with textured linens, custom chargers, candles, low floral arrangements and candelabras.

The couple decorated each each reception table with three levels of candles and a three-tiered dessert stand filled with votive candles. Floral centerpieces with dahlias, roses, Queen Anne's lace and hydrangea were also used, says Holly.
Each guest’s seat was met with a personalized glass charger that read “Mr. and Mrs. Loulan.”

The couple chose a four-tier wedding cake from Party Flavors Custom Cake with a gold base and gold accent at the bottom of each tier. Two white roses were placed on the confection as accents.
