An Elegant and Romantic Wedding at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis, Indiana

Evan Williamson, 24, a project manager, exchanged vows with his bride Lauren Williamson, 24, a third grade teacher, in a romantic wedding in Indianapolis. The bride and groom first met while working as youth volunteers at the Conner Prairie Museum of Living History. Eight years later, Evan brought Lauren back to their original meeting place to propose. The couple chose the Scottish Rite Cathedral as the location for their big day. "We loved the theater room for the ceremony and the convenience of one venue for the ceremony and reception," they say. "We had a few more appointments scheduled with venues after this, but we kept coming back to the Scottish Rite Cathedral for its beautiful architecture with a romantic and classic feeling." Various shades of coral, including deep salmon and a light blush color, were incorporated into the wedding party attire and decor. Pearls were also heavily featured in the centerpieces, bridal jewelry and flower girl baskets. Following the ceremony, guests attended a cocktail hour with appetizers and an open bar and were later treated to a sit-down dinner at the reception. Elegant floral centerpieces and monogram lighting brought a glamorous feeling to the night. "From the venue down to the small details, everything echoed this classic romanticism," the couple says.
