An Eco Mountain Chic Wedding at Pine Hollow in Fairview, North Carolina

From their organic menu to a ceremony arch made from driftwood and a guest book made from river stones, Cassie and Julie gave their wedding the green treatment, dressing up their Eco Mountain Chic affair with recycled, upcycled and eco-friendly touches.

The day's schedule was displayed on planks of wood using chalkboard paint.
The ceremony was held on the lawn of Pine Hollow overlooking a swimming hole and the surrounding mountains. Cassie handmade the ceremony backdrop using pieces of driftwood she collected from the couple's favorite beach and long strips of pastel fabric.
Cassie and Julia topped the rustic wood farm tables with burlap table runners, which they made themselves using coffee bags from a local coffee roaster.
Succulents were incorporated into the bouquets, centerpieces and even the boutonnieres.
The couple opted for a small peach flavored cake for the cake cutting and offered their guests two types of cupcakes - chocolate south with peanut butter frosting and peach with cream cheese frosting - made from local and organic ingredients.
The sweetheart table was comprised of vintage furniture like plush pale green wingback chairs and a distressed farm table. The table was decorated with a eucalyptus garland and ivory pillar candles for a rustic, romantic look.
Instead of signing a traditional guest book, Cassie and Julie had their guests write their well wishes on river stones, which they would put in the garden of their first home.
The name of each guest was written in silver ink on kraft paper place cards handmade by Julia.
Twig and vine pomander lights illuminated the tent after the sun began to set.
We knew we didn’t want to stick with only girls for our ‘Bridal Party.’ After considering many family members and close friends to include, we decided to take a step back and simplify, choosing only two members for each side. We agreed to each choose one sibling and one friend, one being a girl one being a guy, says Cassie and Julia.
Both Cassie and Julia love succulents and have them in their backyard at home, so they thought it only fitting to include them in their bouquets. They also tied into the succulent terrariums used as centerpieces at the reception.
Handcrafted succulent terrariums arranged on rustic wood accents spoke to the wedding's Eco Mountain Chic theme.
