An Eclectic Wedding Filled with Burgundy Dahlia and Scabiosa Blooms at Metropolist in Seattle, Washington

Inspired by their favorite color, black, Paige and Jesse planned a moody, Autumn wedding at Metropolist in Seattle, Washington, filled with dark hues and edgy accents. "I prefer a moodier and darker palette and I wanted to focus on more of an 'until death do us part' vibe. I provided our event designer with less than 15 photos of what I liked, a color palette of black, dark green with some gold accents and she ran with it. It was important to me for the guests to feel comfortable and that it was an intimate affair. We utilized a lot of florals and candles! When Hallea did a room reveal with us, I cried. I loved what she created so much," Paige says. She goes on to share that, "it was important to me for the space to have clean execution and not feel cluttered. I wasn't focused on having any major decor outside of a neon sign and being very flower forward. Additionally, we were very fortunate to have an officiant with incredible taste. We borrowed two of their Moroccan rugs for the end of the aisle to bring in a pop of color and it ended up feeling more familial.

Beyond creating a wedding that fit the moody, edgy aesthetic they were going for, Paige and Jesse also wove personalized elements into their celebration.  One detail was "the wine bottles on every guest table. My aunt owned San Juan Vineyards in Friday Harbor and unfortunately passed 8 months before the wedding. It was extremely important for me to have a piece of her there, so we supplied the tables with her favorite bottle. The second was my other aunt who made us our wedding cake! There is truly nothing more sinful and delicious in this world than her carrot cake and she spent hours making sure it was perfect. I am so grateful for her!" says Paige.
