An Eclectic Wedding at The Breakers Palm Beach in Palm Beach, Florida
Ashley Dominguez (26 and in finance) and Joshua Harden (30 and in construction) filled their wedding with eclectic decor for a memorable look with surprising details. Thompson Photography Group captured every gold, white and blush accent as the day moved from a romantic garden ceremony to a regal reception under red uplighting. “We actually were inspired by the Gold Room at the Breakers Palm Beach,” says Ashley. “I really wanted to accentuate its gold colors and romantic feel.” For the ceremony, they chose a more subtle color scheme. The team at The Breakers Design Studio lined rows of white chairs with simple white hydrangea and spray rose pomanders for a soft touch as the couple said “I do” in front of a grand fountain. Similar florals were spread throughout the ballroom. Clear-glass candelabras topped with white hydrangeas, white delphiniums and more white roses served as centerpieces. Gold chiavari chairs, gold chargers and matching linens were used as accents. The venue's on-site pastry chef also made a royal confection for the couple. A gold leaf design or custom monogram decorated each layer as white hydrangeas and roses separated the top three tiers. After a few bites, the couple ended their night with a sparker exit. Ashley shares a few tips: “Start planning at least a year in advance! I started early and had enough time to get everything done so I wasn't stressing last minute. Also, try to soak in the wedding day as much as possible.”
