An Eclectic, Vintage Wedding at Tonaquint Park in St. George, Utah
Kelsee Clements (20 and a stay-at-home mom) and JK Snow (22 and an electrician) had a traditional Mormon wedding ceremony in the St. George Temple of the Latter-day Saints. They hosted a reception in the gardens at Tonaquint Park in St. George, Utah, a large open grassy area filled with flowers and greens that provided space and a fun, relaxed atmosphere. “I love the feeling of outdoor weddings and how laid-back it made our wedding feel!” says Kelsee. The couple incorporated a sunset orange and aqua color palette into their reception decor with a vintage, eclectic theme. Thrift store finds such as bird cages, figurines, frames, suitcases, vases and jars filled with seasonal flowers decorated the dining tables. JK and Kelsee’s father assembled a photo wall for guests to take pictures to print and take home as mementos. “The food was amazing and was a highlight of our wedding,” says the bride. Marvellous Catering created a casual menu with ice cream sandwiches for dessert: Guests could choose between chocolate chip, chocolate chunk or snickerdoodle cookies with vanilla ice cream in the middle. For wedding favors, guests could take home cotton candy on a rock candy stick—a favorite treat of the bride’s! “I feel that our reception was very laid-back and more of a party,” says Kelsee.
