An Eclectic, Saloon-Style Wedding at Union Horse Distilling Company in Lenexa, Kansas
Adam and Brian embrace the unexpected—it is how they met, after all. A chance encounter after years apart (and a little Facebook sleuthing) led to a Christmas proposal and an 11-month engagement. To honor their story and their life as a couple, Adam and Brian combined elements that created an eclectic contrast at their wedding. Vintage vases, white roses and gnome figurines sat alongside chrome accents, sequined linens and graphic paper goods. One thing it all had in common: “It was all full of our love,” Brian says. Adam and Brian chose Union Horse Distilling Company because the space’s décor combined both “masculinity and style,” Brian says. The couple looked to a classic saloon style, and mixed old-world accents with modern geometric pieces and metallics. The distillery helped the pair come up with two signature Moscow mules: the house mule and the “Horsefeather” with rye. Adam and Brian cut into a chocolate and carrot cake topped with copper fondant coins.
