An Eclectic Rose Gold Wedding at The Varsity Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Rather than classic cream or white, Minneapolis-based bride Brittany Hall (30 and a customer service manager) chose an unexpected hue to accessorize her eclectic wedding at The Varsity Theater...rose gold. "I'm absolutely in love with the color," she says. "Everything about it is so enchanting." The rosy hue showed up in everything from the bride's gilded high-top sneakers down to her diamond solitaire engagement ring from fianc? Mike Krumm (27 and an espresso machine repair technician). Dressed in a strapless, blush Vera Wang ball gown (she removed the straps herself!), Brittany completed her unconventional bridal look with a simple tiara and silver brooch bouquet. "My mom spent months gathering old rhinestones, pins and pearls in order to make it," Brittany says. "It was absolutely amazing and cannot be matched." For their May wedding in the heart of Minneapolis, the couple exchanged vows at the Loring Pasta Bar before treating 200 guests to a dessert-filled reception at the theater next door. "Every aspect of the theater is so unique," the bride says. "They handled everything from the table settings to the reception lighting. It's almost like they make it so easy to get married there." A dessert bar was the highlight of the reception space with a cupcake display that came complete with 17 different types of cupcakes courtesy of Angel Food bakery. "We wanted to include at least one thing everyone liked or something new that they could try," Brittany says. "We're also both covered in tattoos, so the thought of a love-themed flash art design was fitting for our wedding cake." Since the newlyweds happened to meet in a coffee shop, it only made sense to supply guests with a wedding favor fit for any caffeine-lover. "We gave our guests Costa Rican coffee that we purchased from a local roaster as a wedding favor," the bride says. "We just put a few scoops in small mason jars and it turned out to be a huge hit!"
