San Antonio, Texas, natives Pamela Osborn (24 and a sales representative) and Taylor Dreiss (24 and a civil engineer) knew they wanted to throw an outdoor wedding in their hometown, and the Witte Museum was perfect. The museum’s two adjoining courtyards, surrounded by old oak trees, provided lush ceremony and reception spaces for their eclectic and colorful fall fete. Wallace Vaughn at the Last Straw Florist brought together seasonal elements of rich fall hues, such as purple, orange and red, that popped against the natural greenery; he even added pheasant feathers for a whimsical touch. Pamela and Taylor’s wedding arch was dripping with bold blooms and fall foliage! For the reception, Pamela got creative with DIY details like carving butternut squashes to use as vases and adding gold candles to enhance the warm ambience. Even the dinner menu was something you’d see at a Thanksgiving feast—they had a turkey-carving station with roasted potatoes. But the most unforgettable detail? Cakes by Cynthia ran with the fall theme and created two jaw-dropping cakes for Pamela and Taylor that totally captured their style (and their favorite flavors). Pamela chose a timeless trumpet-style Martina Liana dress with a sweetheart neckline and lace appliques. She went for a classic makeup look to feel most like herself, and wore her hair in an elegant updo so she could dance all night.
Pamela’s bouquet included white and lavender flowers with pops of blue sea holly for texture and greenery to tie in the natural colors at the Witte Museum in San Antonio, Texas.
The bridesmaids wore short chiffon dresses in deep purple with gold shoes and carried a warm red, orange and purple bouquet for contrast.
Taylor and his father built the wedding arch using wood from the family ranch. Vibrant roses, dahlias, hypericum berries, hydrangeas and pheasant feathers sprung out of the top, with trails of cascading ivy and fall foliage to complete the design.

Rich flowers in earth tones created the warm fall ambiance Pamela and Taylor were going for, accented by gold chargers and candles. This loose arrangement of orange, red and purple flowers, laid out on the table like a Thanksgiving cornucopia, included roses, dahlias, lisianthus, sea holly, craspedia, fall foliage and pheasant feathers on a bed of greenery.
Taylor made all the wooden wedding signs, and one of Pamela’s bridesmaids painted them with whimsical calligraphy. The wooden chairs also helped tie in the laid-back, natural theme.
This incredible wedding cake by Cakes by Cynthia felt like fall: gold details over ivory buttercream and pops of flowers in earth tones. It was a carrot cake, which is Pamela’s favorite.

Taylor’s groom’s cake was all chocolate with chocolate shavings and chocolate dripping down each tier. The deer antlers on the table and whimsical pheasant feathers represented his style.
