An Eclectic DIY Floral Wedding at Lionscrest Manor in Lyons, Colorado

Kit and Kendall Ruth had a fun, colorful DIY wedding at Lionscrest Manor in Lyons, Colorado. They loved the outdoor ceremony site among the mountains and the manor's indoor reception hall. Kit is a florist, so having a flower-inspired wedding was an easy choice for the modern couple. The pair used a pink, green and blue color palette for their eclectic, bloom-filled wedding -- a theme that extended to the bridesmaid dresses, which came in shades of blue or turquoise and were emblazoned with florals. Kit and Kendall exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony under a wooden wedding arbor adorned with lush flower arrangements. The day was almost perfect, except for the rain. The couple even took a second to pause so the groomsmen could give the chilly bridesmaids their blazers in the middle of the ceremony. After Kit and Kendall's first kiss, everyone headed inside for a lively reception. The gold-mercury-glass-potted succulents doubled as escort cards and wedding favors, and the centerpieces included calla lilies and orchids in vintage tan milk glass vases that spelled out "love." The windows were even decorated with pink peony blooms for a whimsical garden feel. One of the best parts, though, was the gorgeous fondant cake adorned with a giant pink peony sugar flower and cascading leaves.
