An Earthy Church Wedding at Prince of Peace Church in Woodland Hills, California

The surrounding area outside of the Prince of Peace Church in Woodland Hills, California, wasn’t the only earthy element of the wedding day. With a color palette of eight shades of green and a touch of gold accented with wood details, there was nothing that could keep the decor from looking as natural as the couple getting married that day. Danielle Packer (28 and in elder care) and Ron Clearly (35 and in health care) wanted to have their outdoor ceremony and indoor reception at the church where Danielle’s family raised her and were still greatly involved with. Michael Farmer Photography was there to snap every photographic moment of their wedding day, including when Danielle walked down the aisle wearing her strapless ivory wedding dress with an overlay detailed in gold magnolia flowers by Francesca Miranda. What really caught our attention was the rustic alternative to an escort card that Danielle’s mother created to guide guests to their seats, which had personal messages to the bride and groom. “My mom engraved each guest’s name and a word to describe the wishes she had for our marriage on miniature slabs of wood, which also told them where they sat,” Danielle says.
