An Aviation-Themed Wedding at Langley Air Force Base Chapel in Langley, Virginia
When deciding their wedding style, Hattie Katuzienski (21 and a teacher) and Daniel Katuzienski (21 and a US Air Force officer) let their imagination take flight. The couple had an aviation-themed wedding as a nod to Daniel's work as an Air Force officer. Everything at this wedding was designed with flight in mind, from the luggage-tag escort cards to the airplane figurine centerpieces. Hattie and Daniel added a vintage twist to their decor by including touches like the old aviation books they displayed alongside their centerpieces and the vintage luggage they used to display their photos. They also incorporated rustic accents, like the mason jar flower arrangements, the burlap and satin table runners and the wooden slab cake stand. Hattie and Daniel chose a navy, khaki and yellow palette for their wedding party. Daniel and the groomsmen wore khaki suits with navy bow ties, while the bridesmaids wore floor-length, navy chiffon dresses and carried vibrant bouquets with sunflowers, coral roses and viburnum. Hattie carried a similar bouquet and wore a beautiful, form-fitting lace dress. Our favorite detail? Hattie and Daniel hired a local artist to draw caricatures of their guests as the wedding favors.
