High school sweethearts Cortney Miller (27 and a project coordinator) and Michael Leone (27 and an audio visual technician) dated for over ten years before getting engaged on a quiet night after work. When the pair began planning their outdoor affair, Cortney already knew she wanted an outdoor ceremony with the Georgia mountains decked out in fall foliage as the backdrop. The couple invited guests to their rustic ceremony at Chota Falls in Tiger, Georgia and instead of exchanging vows in front of the water fall (their typical ceremony backdrop) the couple opted to get married in the meadow—which had never been done before. Whicker cornucopias filled with small pumpkins hung from ceremony chairs, lining the outdoor aisle, and clusters of sunflowers decorated the branch arbor. Because Cortney had always wanted a fall themed wedding in October, it was easy for her to decide on a seasonal red, orange and yellow color palette. In keeping with the autumnal feel ranunculus, hydrangeas, craspedia and dusty miller (because Cortney's maiden name is Miller) filled carved pumpkins. Lanterns set on wood rounds decorated the other reception tables and a bonfire with s'mores completed the festive night. For their cake topper, the couple wanted something unique that reflected them as a couple. "Since Michael is a fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team and because penguins mate for life, we decided on penguins," says Cortney. "They turned out much bigger than we expected and looked too big for the cake, but that made them all the more like us since we don't take things too seriously!"????Chota Falls in North Georgia Chota Falls is one of the prettiest and most romantic wedding venue in North Georgia. Michael and Cortney chose to hold their wedding in the beautiful month of October at this gorgeous place. Usually the couples choose to get married beneath the 150 foot waterfall, but this couple wanted the feel of a country wedding and held their ceremony on the grounds beneath the lovely Chota Falls Chapel surrounded by lovely flower arrangements that included sunflowers and pumpkins so fitting for a Fall wedding. Of course we still did a lot of the photography by the waterfall, you can't be at Chota Falls and not do that. Cortney looked so lovely in her gown which was perfect for the outdoor wedding she and Michael planned. The bridesmaids complemented the theme in their red dresses.

The bridesmaids wore strapless, empire waisted red Bill Levkoff dresses with a small fabric flower at the waist.
