An Airy, Romantic Wedding at the Wilton House Museum in Richmond, Virginia
Andrea Plumley (24, eligibility worker) and Benjamin Wilson (28, process manager) met when they were both working at Home Depot while attending university. "I made the first move since he was too shy," says Andrea. They dated for five years. Ben knew Andrea dreamed of traveling to Europe, so he took her on a trip to France and proposed to her under the Eiffel Tower with a ring whose setting resembles the monument. Ben and Andrea were married at the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Richmond with a tented reception afterwards on the grounds of the Wilton House Museum. The colors of the airy wedding were mint, peach and navy. Gorgeous flower arrangements provided by Flower Girls included white anemones, pink and peach peonies, white hydrangeas, delphiniums, lily of the valley and dusty miller, among others. Long tables at the reception were set with peach table linens and small floral centerpieces in mint julep cups and milk vases. Wedding fashions included floor length mint dresses for the bridesmaids and navy vests for the groomsmen. Ben wore a navy tuxedo jacket while Andrea wore a mermaid style striped organza dress with a sweetheart neckline, tulle skirt and chapel train by Hayley Paige. Their beautiful wedding ended with mint and peach colored macaron favors, reminiscent of their engagement, and a beautiful, three tier wedding cake in mint ombre with peach blooms. Although rain tried to come in the way, nothing could stop Ben and Andrea from having a gorgeous and memorable wedding day.
