Art plays a large role in the lives of Amy Barker and Tim Armato. And it seems only fitting that instead of proposing with a diamond, Tim would be more creative. The Bride Amy Barker The Groom Tim Armato The Date May 29 He whisked Amy away to a downtown gallery where they just happened to notice a painting that had a very special message listed on the price tag: Amy will you marry me? Ten months later, art played a starring role in their wedding at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.

Tim really wanted to get married combining two important things to him -- art and the outdoors, says Amy. The two married in front of a large sculpture at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, where Tim's grandfather (who is also a pastor) stood with their officiant and blessed their rings.
Post-wedding, Amy and Tim journeyed to France. It was an incredible way to end what was for us the perfect wedding, Amy says.
In her hair, Amy wore bright green cymbidium orchids, which matched the orchids, parrot tulips, and spider mums in her bouquet.
Amy and Tim celebrated with a late evening cocktail reception at Cowles Conservatory at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Hors d'oeuvres included wild mushroom and goat cheese cannoli, petite croque monsieur, and ahi tuna ceviche; cosmopolitans and gin and tonics were the signature cocktails. A jazz trio played standards as background music.
