Amy and Scott set the mood for their Richmond celebration with a romantic burgundy and gold color palette and elegant details that included more than 6,000 roses! The very day after that meeting, each was headed out on a lengthy vacation -- but upon their return, Scott, 30, invited Amy, 29, to a party, and as she says, the rest is history. Two years later, the couple was visiting friends in Buffalo, New York, when Scott convinced Amy to take a helicopter ride over Niagara Falls. During the ride, Scott leaned over and said, 'You know, the story of how we met is boring -- how would you like to tell people we got engaged in a helicopter flying over Niagara Falls?' Amy recalls. Of course, she said yes!

The Hair
Amy's candlelight spaghetti-strap Ulla-Maija gown featured a bodice embellished with a lace overlay.
The Ceremony
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Amy and Scott served cheesecakes for two (made in the shape of a tiered wedding cake) placed on a glass cake stand to create the illusion of a single wedding cake. Each couple got their own personal cake to share.
For Amy and Scott's reception at The Jefferson Hotel, burgundy and gold were the key colors, creating a lavish, elegant ambience. Burgundy linens with silk organza overlays covered the tables, and centerpieces featuring tall, gold candelabras filled with red roses (6,000 of them!) added to the romance. Gold chiavari chairs with burgundy cushions finished off the look.
The traditional Jewish ceremony unfolded in a regal style as Amy and Scott said their I dos beneath a custom-made silk huppah accented with gold tassels.
