Randy is one guy who'll never have to regret the one who got away. THE BRIDE Amy Howe, 29, account manager THE GROOM Randy Tibbetts, 35, real estate THE DATE September 7 After passing Amy on Newbury Street, Randy had to say something. He tapped me on my shoulder and said, 'You're probably married or have a boyfriend, but I had to stop and ask you or I'd be kicking myself,' Amy recalls. Call it love at first sight -- two years later, Randy popped the question, and the couple began planning a personal, intimate Cape Cod wedding.

Each envelope was truly a piece of artwork, Amy says. Her calligrapher worked on many of the wedding details, including the wine charm place cards, envelopes, and the cootie catchers.
Amy carried a bouquet of Anne Marie, Tineke, and Bianca roses; white spray roses; green and white hydrangeas, green and white lisianthus, and arabicum, tied with sage-green ribbon.
The Ceremony Decor
The invitations were a labor of love for me, Amy says. She spent three months tweaking her designs, all of which included a custom paper that was ivory on one side, sage with a fern pattern on the other. She also came up with the cootie catchers and coasters (printed with Eat, Drink, and Be Married). Amy had such success bringing her own ideas to life that she's now in the wedding business herself.
A sage and ivory color scheme, as well as a monogram designed by Amy using the to-be-weds' first initials, pulled together the different elements of the day. Amy says that she loved every minute of planning the often elaborate wedding details. I really wanted our guests to notice all of the personal touches that went into our wedding and feel like they were a big part of making our day so successful, she says.
Similar blooms clustered in mint julep cups topped the tables-Bianca roses, white spray roses, and green hydrangeas.

Amy and Randy used the cake topper Randy's late parents had at their own wedding on the three-tier marble cake frosted with white buttercream and also featuring green hydrangeas between each tier.
Amy and Randy exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony on the lawn of the Wequassett Inn, which overlooks Pleasant Bay. Green and white blooming hydrangea bushes and the sailboats out in the bay created an especially scenic setting. The couple stood beneath a flower-draped wooden arbor that Randy built for the wedding. When I mentioned I wanted to get married in front of an arbor, Randy said, 'How about I build it, and then we can put it in our backyard after the wedding?' Amy recalls. I thought it was a truly romantic gesture, and now it's a daily reminder of our amazing wedding day.
Amy wore an off-the-shoulder ivory silk mikado gown with beading along the neckline by Wearkstatt.
