It was during a fire drill that sparks flew for Amy and Chris. The two were students and William Paterson University, and they locked eyes during the false alarm. Each played hard-to-get for awhile, but quickly realized they couldn't ignore their feelings. Six years later, Chris convinced Amy to try the new juice he'd just bought, but when she went to the fridge, she found it empty save for a burgundy wooden box. The flowers of the day were dahlias and gerbera daisies in hues of pink, red, yellow, and orange, and the bride carried a bouquet of pale yellow roses accented with greenery.
Amy's six bridesmaids wore strapless black and white taffeta lace dresses by Dessy Collection with a white slip underlay and a thin white strip and bow at the waist.
Chris and his eight groomsmen (including his best man and twin brother, Nick) sported high four-button black tuxes by Ralph Lauren with black vests, white shirts, and black ties with double Windsor knots.
The white four-tier buttercream cake was topped with a bouquet of multicolor roses with white scrollwork on each tier. The confection (yellow cake with strawberry and buttercream filling) was decorated with pink, red, yellow, and orange roses and rose petals.
