It wasn’t your typical “met at school” story for Amanda Yount, 26, and Ken Gall, 33. “He was a professor [of mechanical engineering and materials science] at CU-Boulder, and I was a student -- no, not his student!” Amanda says. Amanda had a student job near his office in the campus engineering center, and she’d definitely noticed Ken, though she thought he was a graduate student. “I remember, once, coughing and trying to make a ruckus while passing his office to get him to look at me, but, nope, he was too engrossed in his work,” Amanda says. More than four years later, Ken proposed on a trip to Aspen, and the couple soon began planning a Colorado wedding.
