The Couple
Guests nibbled on salmon and the French delicacy foie gras at the cocktail hour. “The food was a work of art!” says the bride.
Amanda was driven to the château in an antique French car from the 1930s.
The Bridesmaid Looks
In keeping with French tradition, the reception ball began with a series of waltzes. First, Amanda danced with her father, while Franck danced with his mother. Later, they switched partners and the newlyweds danced to “Emperor’s Waltz,” by Johann Strauss.

The topiaries that graced the reception tables were truly a group project. Amanda and her mother designed them and sent step-by-step photos to their French florist. Then, while vacationing in France, Franck and his brothers delivered all of the necessary supplies. “All the florist had to do was assemble them and add fresh flowers the day-of!” says Amanda.
Amanda’s best friend, an opera singer, sang “Ave Maria” during the ceremony.
