Early one morning Chris surprised Allison with breakfast in bed and a beautiful asscher-cut yellow diamond. Soon after, the two began pulling together the details for their traditional, garden wedding. Allison designed the programs herself using three pieces of ivory, woven card stock. She tied the homemade program pieces together with raffia for a casual yet classic feel.
Small crystal chandeliers with votive candles were suspended from tree branches, creating a whimsical environment for the at-home wedding.
The six bridesmaids wore strapless, ivory-colored dresses with grosgrain ribbon sashes at the Empire waistline.
To complement their garden ceremony, Allison and Chris’ reception decor included woodsy birch candelabras and antique garden ornaments. For a welcoming feel, the couple’s family pictures were displayed at the entrance, while large twinkling lights illuminated the dance floor and created an intimate vibe.
A wooden huppah was set up in Allison’s parents’ backyard to set the stage for the couple's outdoor sunset ceremony.
The garden-inspired centerpieces were made up of antique watering cans and weathered pots full of green ivy surrounded by softly lit candles.
Guests showered Allison and Chris in rose petals as they exited the ceremony. They walked to the reception site right after the sendoff.
Allison and Chris took their first spin around the dance floor as a married couple to “Come Away With Me,” by Norah Jones, performed by their band.
The escort cards featured a leaf motif and added to Allison and Chris' whimsical garden-style wedding.
Shepherd’s hooks, which featured peach roses, berries, lavender, and lavish greens, led guests into the garden and ceremony space.
Allison wore a strapless, cathedral-length gown by Allure. The fitted dress featured a scalloped sweetheart neckline and a dresden lace overlay. Allison decided to keep her jewelry simple and wore pearl earrings.
