Allison and Breck first met when she attended his birthday party one year with a mutual friend. Breck admits being attracted to Allison when he saw her that night, but the two didn't have a chance to really talk. A week later, Allison had a cocktail party and invited Breck to make up for crashing his birthday party. They chatted throughout the evening, and before he left, Breck asked Allison out on a first date. The Bride Allison Bocan, 31, account executive The Groom Breck Handy, 35, account executive The DateJune 28 Allison was thrilled when Breck told her they’d be celebrating his sister’s birthday in Las Vegas (one of their favorite getaways) with his whole family. After arriving, they went to a restaurant for the party. Allison expected to see everyone waiting for them at dinner; however, they ended up sitting alone at a table set for ten. Breck handed her a birthday card to sign while they waited, and Allison soon realized the card was for her. Breck proposed right then and the waiters, who were in on the setup, moved them to a private table with champagne.

Another DIY wedding project was the escort cards. Allison stamped each card with a table number, and her wedding coordinator wrote each guest’s name on the outside. The fuchsia and orange paper coordinated with the wedding colors, and river rocks gave a rustic touch to the display.
A painted wooden sign created by Allison's wedding coordinator directed guests to the ceremony location.
The couple's reception decor was all about color. Vibrant orange tablecloths were topped with clear glassware and centerpieces filled with fuchsia flowers.
Allison's bridesmaids wore strapless dresses in either fuchsia or orange. Even though she usually shies away from bright colors, she decided the lively hues would stand out against the rugged landscape.
Allison and Breck took on the program design themselves. The result was a modern yet sophisticated design featuring fuchsia lettering and a fuchsia ribbon on the side of each program.
The groomsmen wore casual, crisp khaki pants, black jackets, and pink ties.
Allison is Jewish and Breck is Christian, so the couple decided to have a nondenominational wedding ceremony. However, Allison wanted to honor the tradition of marrying under a chuppah, so her florist created one draped in greenery for the couple to stand beneath.
Randy Travis's song Forever and Ever played as Allison and Breck danced for the first time as a married couple.
Allison and Breck chose a picturesque location next to a pond to hold their reception. The two had spent summers separately in Sun Valley growing up and felt it was a natural choice for their wedding.
For the prereception cocktail hour, the couple chose a refreshing, summery signature drink, a lemon-tini, which was served in a sugar-rimmed glass.
The two flower girls wore white dresses and fuchsia or orange sashes and carried baskets lined with greenery.
Other little details, like fuchsia fabric woven into the backs of each chair and paper lanterns hung from the ceiling, pulled the whole look together.
Orange satin shoes added a punch of color to her wedding ensemble.
Allison and Breck wanted an alternative to a traditional wedding cake. They started with the idea of having a sundae bar and ended up with an entirely separate dessert tent! In addition to the sundae bar, they had large chocolate-frosted cupcakes (Allison's favorite treat) and large canisters filled with candy.
