All the Colors of the Rainbow Were on Display at This Wedding at Solé East in Montauk, New York
Joanna Valk and Anthony Polemis wanted their wedding at Solé East in Montauk, New York, to be a joyous occasion and translated that into their design by selecting a vibrant, rainbow-inspired color palette. "We combined a bright, lively color palette for the flowers against a more classic design backdrop (white tablecloths, white candles, etc.) in our tented wedding. The garden setting provided a beautiful blank canvas to bring our vision to life," Joanna says.
Flowers played an integral role in bringing the couple's cheerful rainbow wedding to life. "The flowers were the cornerstone of our wedding design. The garden setting and the modern, simple design for the other components of the wedding allowed us to embrace our creative impulses with the florals. We wanted everything to be bright, fun and lively so selected four different shades of flowers: yellow, orange, coral and pink. We elected to string flowers from the ceiling of the tent to make it even more beautiful and ethereal," says Joanna. She goes on to share that "while there were numerous moments throughout the day that we remember fondly, and our 'favorite' moment probably depends on the day, we both loved the reception when we could freely spend time with our family and friends (and all the wedding obligations were over). It is such a rare blessing to have all the people that you care about the most in one setting, and we couldn’t wait to talk to everyone (and dance the night away)."
