The summer before his freshman year of college, Jeff Andrus was walking on the beach in Avalon, New Jersey. As he passed his neighbor's summer home, he took notice of a young woman wearing a sweatshirt from Lafayette College -- the school he was planning on attending that fall. I should have introduced myself, says Jeff. But I didn't. I did remember what she looked like and we met at Lafayette a few months later and became friends.
