With plenty of help from family and friends, Alisha and Michael set the tone for their classic wedding with black-and-white decor splashed with bright red accents. The Bride Alisha Marie Flesher, 27, outpatient therapist The Groom Michael Alan Moore, 27, service coordinator The Date June 17 After a romantic garden proposal, Alisha and Michael began planning their summertime nuptials at the Lavalette United Methodist Church. “We fell in love with the church,” says Michael. Not only was the church the perfect size for their 150 guests and located not far from the reception site, it was also where Alisha’s parents were married.

The bridesmaids carried three long stemmed white roses accented with greenery and baby’s breath. The bride and groom also had an arrangement of two tall memory candles placed on the altar dedicated to Alisha’s late grandparents and Michael’s grandfathers. The arrangement was taken to the reception afterwards and was the centerpiece on the head table.
The Guest Book
Alisha and Michael recited traditional United Methodist wedding vows with a unity candle.  “Alisha and I both grew up in the United Methodist Church, so it was important for us to follow United Methodist traditions,” says Michael.
Each layer of the white four-tiered square cake had a black ribbon wrapped around the base. Red silk roses blossomed between the layers and Alisha and Michael topped the cake with a silver “M” for their new last name, Moore.
The Ceremony Decor
Alisha’s two sisters were her bridesmaids. They wore black, tea length Michelangelo dresses with black sandals of their choice.
The Reception Decor
Alisha and Michael had their first dance to “Love Of My Life” by Jim Brickman featuring Michael W. Smith. Of all the songs that played throughout the evening Alisha’s family particularly enjoyed “Old Time Rock & Roll” and “Mustang Sally.”
Alisha carried a bouquet of bright red roses. The bouquet matched her gown, which was trimmed in apple red.
