Alex & Frankie in New Paltz, NY

The Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz is an 1869 Victorian castle. Set into a mountainside and overlooking a lake, the property encompasses acres of hiking trails, gardens, terraces, and woodlands. It's a magical spot for a wedding, and for Alexandra Bush, who vacationed at Mohonk with her family many times, it's full of personal history. THE BRIDE Alexandra Bush, visual manager for Anthropologie THE GROOM Francis Maiorino, film production THE DATE November 10 Alex used the occasion of then-boyfriend Francis (Frankie) Maiorino's birthday to introduce him to Mohonk on a weekend getaway. We both loved the area so much we returned several times, she says. When they became engaged, they imagined a weekend-getaway wedding, and Mohonk seemed like an obvious choice. The two began dating when they were working on a film production crew on location in Montauk. Two years later, Frankie proposed on Gin Beach, a favorite spot from their days of working on that first film together. Alexandra admits she was completely surprised, and that she is still amazed that Frankie had found the perfect antique ring. He also produced a bottle of Cristal champagne and two glasses for an intimate, beachside celebration.
