Aimee & Joe: An Urban Chic Wedding in Columbus, OH

A fondness for art, culture, and fine food are what brought Aimee LaLonde and Joseph Re together and kept their relationship strong -- despite the New York-to-Ohio plane flight between them. Two years after they met, the couple's shared interests would inform their wedding celebration. They were married, appropriately enough, at the Columbus Museum of Art, a setting known for its outdoor sculpture garden and collection of works by Degas, Monet, and Picasso, among others. After a long-distance courtship, Joe proposed on Christmas Eve 2000. I was aware of what he was saying, describes Aimee, but at the same time, my heart and mind were racing. She remembers closing her eyes as Joseph slipped the engagement ring onto her finger.
