A Yellow and Gray Wedding at Geneva National Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Justin Jones, 29, a behavioral therapist, wed his bride Ingrid Jones, 25, also a behavioral therapist, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The couple first met when they were both working as instructional assistants at a school for kids with autism. One October weekend, Justin surprised Ingrid with a proposal on a pier overlooking Lake Geneva. "I was shocked enough to see the gorgeous ring he had chosen, but to also turn around and see my whole family standing there cheering us on and waving," she says. "He had planned this amazing weekend and involved my family, which is so important to me." The couple chose Anchor Covenant Church, which the bride's family had attended in the past, as the location for their ceremony. They incorporated many personal touches into their big day and made most of the wedding decor themselves. Yellow was chosen as the main color, with gray as an accent color to compliment the brightness of the yellow. Following the ceremony, guests attended a cocktail hour and reception in the Lake Geneva Room at Geneva National Resort. "This room was perfect for us," says the bride. "It had a separate location for each event of the evening. A nice space for our cocktail hour, the dining room for the meal, and then the dance floor for the evening activities." Dinner consisted of chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto and spinach, New York strip steak, mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley followed by wedding cake for dessert.
