A Words With Friends-Inspired Purple and White Wedding at Lambertville Station and Inn in Lambertville, New Jersey
This wedding will have you at a loss for words. Leah Monzillo (31 and an executive assistant) and David Sucharski (29 and in health care marketing) bonded by playing Words With Friends, a board game app, and turned it into an underlying theme for their purple and white wedding. They started the day with a simple ceremony at Lambertville Station and Inn in Lambertville, New Jersey. Dave waited by their garland wedding arch from Domenic Graziano Flowers in a classic black tuxedo (with cuff links inspired by game piece tiles) as Leah made her entrance. She wore an ivory trumpet-style Oleg Cassini dress covered in classic beading. For a touch of whimsy, she also carried a purple bouquet. George Street Photo and Video captured every moment as they exchanged vows and Dave started a sing-along. He surprised Leah by having their bridal party serenade her with "All You Need Is Love" while a groomsman played the electric guitar. Their reception also started with a few sweet details. Once guests found their seats, Leah and Dave started the night with an impromptu first dance as the wedding party held enlarged Scrabble-inspired tiles in the background. Each read "Their Next Chapter Begins." The reception tables were also met with a story or "chapter" on their relationship. Another detail we love was the wedding cake. Ciao Bella Cakes placed two "L" and "D" fondant tiles from Words with Friends at the center as purple ribbon and silver beading circled around its five tiers. After a slice, all spent the rest of their night on the dance floor. "We couldn't have asked for a more perfect night," Leah says.
