Talk about bringing the outside in. Libby Page (26 and a chef and freelance food stylist) and Whit Sibley (27 and an MBA candidate at Vanderbilt University) used plenty of overgrown florals, unfinished wood, brown mushrooms and leaves throughout the decor to bring their stunningly woodland garden wedding to life. Since they had only five months to plan their rustic fete, Libby and Whit hired planner Neillie Butler from Mariee Ami. "There was absolutely no way we could have pulled it off without the team at Mariee Ami," Libby says. Although Libby never really imagined what her wedding would look like when she was a child, she knew that when she and Whit built their home in Cashiers, North Carolina, that they'd get married in their backyard overlooking Whiteside Mountain, with the natural surrounding really setting the tone for the day. One of our favorite parts was the amazing florals from Sybil at Wildflower Designs. Bold, colorful, towering flowers filled the reception to create an organic overgrown forest feel we can't help but love. See all our favorite details, beautifully captured by A Bryan Photo, below.

Jan Pruitt made Libby and Whit's rustic taupe and white invitation suite on a letterpress to set the tone for the outdoor wedding. It had subtle touch of elegance, and the tree-and-house motif fit the rustic mountain wedding site.
Wanting to add a little sentimental tradition to her look, Libby wore a family heirloom Belgian lace veil with her simple, chic Le Spose di Gio gown. "My grandmother, Billi, brought it back from Europe for my mother and her sisters," Libby says. "All the women on my mother's side of the family have worn it in their weddings."
"Sybil of Wildflower Designs has an amazing eye," Libby says. "I told her that I wanted to keep it simple, and she selected the flowers." She carried green viburnum, white magnolias, ivory roses, white peonies, white ranunculus and plenty of wildflowers in her lush, textured bouquet.
The gorgeous house design that was used in the invitations was also used on the simple, chic ceremony programs. Since Libby and Whit drew so much inspiration from their gorgeous mountain home, it made sense to use it as a design motif. Each of the programs were also decorated with a single leaf to bring the woodland garden feel to life.
Since Libby and Whit were getting married in their gorgeous backyard, they wanted to keep their decor and palette simple to let the natural surrounding speak for itself. They used unfinished logs topped with overgrown white florals, beautifully arranged by Wildflower Designs, for their altar.
The ceremony aisle was decorated with wicker baskets holding white wildflowers. Sybil, of Wildflower Designs, created all the amazing florals to bring the woodland garden theme to life.
In honor of Libby and Whit's Scottish-Irish heritage, they had a traditional bagpiper play the music for the outdoor ceremony. He played "Highland Cathedral" on the bagpipe for Libby and Whit's first steps as husband and wife.
The two flower girls walked down the aisle wearing their own sheath-style white dresses with little ruffles around the bottom hem. They wore baby's breath flower crowns and carried moss-covered baskets down the aisle.
Libby grew up going to summer camp in the mountains of North Carolina, so it was always an important place for her. "I had never really imagined my wedding when I was growing up, but when we built our house in Cashiers it was an easy decision. The view of Whiteside Mountain is breathtaking!"
All 14 of Libby's bridesmaids wore the same two-piece Joanna August dresses. Since they wore a skirt-and-top combo, it was much easier to fit each lady's body type and helped them feel comfortable for the outdoor wedding. Each woman completed her look with her own shoes and jewelry for a classic but understated look.
Libby and Whit kept their ceremony simple with lots of neutral colors to let the stunning scenery speak for itself. Since it was so natural, they wanted their reception to totally contrast. Lots of bold colors filled the space, including an overgrown garden-inspired reception entryway.
"The reception was styled in contrast to the simplicity of the ceremony," Libby says. "We had colors everywhere with lots of mountain, wooden accents." We love how they really brought the outside in to their clear-tented reception at Mountaintop Golf and Lake Club in Cashiers, North Carolina.
The reception tables were topped with towering white taper candles in rustic black candelabras. Colorful peonies, hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus and 'Green Trick' dianthus covered the base of each to add a bold pop of color into the otherwise natural decor.
Wanting to add some dimension to the clear-tented reception, Sybil of Wildflower Designs created gorgeous tiered flower centerpieces. Roses, hydrangeas, hanging amaranthus and lots of wildflowers in shades from pink and red to blue and yellow added a bold pop of color to the space.
Libby and Whit brought their woodland garden theme to life with lots of flowers, mushrooms and wood. Some of the reception tables were topped with terrariums filled with little mushrooms, which were surrounded by roses, 'Green Trick' dianthus and plenty of wildflowers. Tealights in wooden votives added plenty of rustic flair.
The cocktail tables were topped with green-and-white-patterned table linens. Each was topped with orange and yellow roses in tall wooden vases to bring the woodland garden theme to life.
Libby and Whit set up the clear tent on the mountaintop for their reception. Wanting the space to look super-natural to go with their woodland garden theme, they installed lots of trees and amazingly lush florals around the space. Plenty of string lights also added some romance to the party.
Creative Pastries by Sid created Libby and Whit's three-tier cake to look like a log with mushrooms growing on it in honor of their woodland garden-inspired wedding. Inside, it was brown butter pound cake; outside, it was vanilla buttercream. Plenty of lush greenery completed the look!
Libby and Whit had their first dance to “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” by Leo Sayer. "It was upbeat and got the dancing going," Libby says. Big Swing and the Ballroom Blasters from Atlanta, Georgia, played all the reception music, which included lots of Motown.
