A Winter Wonderland Wedding at The Orange County Regional History Center in Orlando, Florida
Ben Greenwood, 35, a sales manager, and Ana Hayden, 33, an advanced registered nurse practitioner, tied the knot in a winter-themed December wedding in Orlando, Florida. Ben and Ana met while passing each other on the street in downtown Orlando. “We were both out with friends on a Saturday night and the stars aligned,” Ana says. Ben later surprised her with a proposal while the couple was on a trip to New York City. They chose The Orange County Regional History Center as the venue for their reception because of its downtown location in the heart of Orlando nightlife. A winter wonderland theme (to match the December wedding date) and color palette of white, gray and small hints of violet were incorporated into the décor. Special details like artificial snow on the tables and snowflake monograms on the walls at the reception helped bring the theme together. Following a church ceremony, guests headed to the History Center for a cocktail hour and sit-down dinner. “Our sparkler send-off finished off the magical day,” the bride says. “It was an ending to what seemed like a dream and the image I remember when I think back to that day.”
