The couple met at a mutual friend's party while living in New Zealand. The Bride Hillary Cryan, 33 and an IT project manager The Groom Bevan Thomson, 35 and a web engineer The Date February 27 Hillary is from Colorado and Bevan is from New Zealand, so the couple wanted their wedding style to reflect their roots and their love for travel. They used a palette of olive green, brown, royal purple and burgundy, along with rustic elements like chopped Aspen and canvas linens, to tie the look together.

Hillary’s bridesmaids kept warm with brown faux-fur jackets hand sewn by her mother. The ladies wore beautiful green dresses to complement the color scheme.
To tie the centerpiece vases in with the rustic mountain surroundings, Mason jars were wrapped in burlap and secured with two wooden buttons.
A family friend baked the couple’s three-tiered cake with white icing. Black ribbon and pine cones gave the confection an elegant winter theme.
Winter Cabin Reception
The couple chose Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Winter Park to show off the majestic scenery. “A large number of Bevan’s guests and our friends from London had never been to the USA before, so it was a huge treat to introduce them to my home state and country,” says the bride.
Bevan popped the question during their tour of Europe one summer. The couple chose 10 of their favorite photos from that trip for the escort cards and named each table after a location in the photos.
The couple named their tables after ten of the cities they had visited in Europe, where Bevan proposed.
Hillary treated herself to a pair of gold sequined Kate Spade shoes. “I plan to wear them at many New Year’s Eve parties in the future!” she says.
Guests gathered inside the log cabin-style Timber House at Devil’s Thumb Ranch for the ceremony. Massive windows provided a stunning view of the Continental Divide.
