A Winter Wedding at Cosmopolitan Restaurant in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Greta Bednarczyk (26 and in development at the University of Pennsylvania) and Shane Doud (30 and a legal aide in the city of Philadelphia) had a warm and intimate winter wedding. They got married at Cosmopolitan Restaurant in Allentown, Pennsylvania, in part because the loft-style venue featured large windows. Greta and Shane lucked out: Allentown had snowfall on their wedding day. As a result, guests had a stunning view of the winter wonderland around them. What Greta and Shane did to the interior of Cosmopolitan Restaurant was equally as beautiful. For the ceremony, the altar area was flanked with tall silver branches that had votive candles hanging from them. These added height to the space and created a whimsical effect for the nuptials. Dining tables at the reception were decorated with warm, low bouquets of pink roses, ivory hydrangeas, seeded eucalyptus and eucalyptus leaves. The escort cards and the table numbers featured gold and black motifs with the couple's initials, adding an art deco twist to the wedding stationery. Our favorite detail?
